In their latest challenge, Timmins is planning to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Cancer Research UK.
In July 2019, the team at Timmins Engineering are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for cancer research. This is something that has affected the team directly and Timmins want to complete this challenge to help with the ongoing fight against cancer. Statistics now show that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lives.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge isn’t just to complete the climb and descent of three mountains in the Yorkshire Dales but to complete it within 10 hours. The three peaks include Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. It is a total of 24-mile route which includes 1,585m of ascent.
Timmins Engineering is not averse to a challenge, after completing others in the past. As a team, they work really well together inside and out of the offices. The team feel this will be a challenge on another level though, as many of the group have very little experience in long-distance walking or climbing but they endeavour to work together to complete the challenge as a unit. With extra help that the weather will be on their side for the challenge, they are very excited about what the challenge will bring.
